My wife convinced me in December 2012 to get a dual gym membership because she wanted me to support her weight loss goals. I really wasn't feeling it, but decided that this could be something we do together. After some time, I was halfway into but not really doing anything of value, but I began going on my own. In May 2013, I survived a prostate cancer scare and that motivated me to get serious about my overall health and make changes...I think that's when the light came on and my inner athlete awoke, and I've been going hard ever since!
Lifting and spending quality sweat time in the gym has proven to be my best therapy and stress relief. In return, I feel great and I see my body transforming! I'm excited about how far I've come and how much farther I can push myself. I'm really considering competing at an amateur event in the future, but until then the gains will continue!
