A weird genetic makeup of "athletic endomorph"; I was the fat kid in highschool who could sprint faster and leap higher than most jocks. A limber, flexible fatty.
Started taking an interest in fitness and sports nutrition during my military service. Joined BB so i can broaden my knowledge and network with like minded fitness enthusiasts as well.
A few years ago I managed to do a complete makeover- i dropped from 250lbs to 185, with about 11-12% BF. This was my the peek of my physique and it lasted about a year until i suffered a few non-sports related injuries. During that time i felt incredible, and am hoping to repeat my success in 2015.
I'm scheduled to start a full on training program in mid April, and so far have been very motivated by the many members blogging, commenting and sharing their progression pics.
It's less about the muscles, abs or selfies. I'm a rather shy person, and believe that fitness and exercise can be done in a humble manner. I believe in working out for the sake of health, with a good body being a byproduct of such. Meaning, the body is not the goal, it's just the bonus.
To me working out is therapeutic. I go in to my own world, release tension, anger, frustration, stress, anxiety and confusion. If I don't work out, I feel like i'm missing something.
