About me..... I've been overweight most of my life. I decided to change in 2012. I started by just walking. I would walk around my neighborhood. Then I started walking at local parks and trails. Eventually walking wasn't enough, and I started jogging for 30 seconds and walking 2 minutes (splits). I worked my way up to running a full mile. That was one proud moment in my life!! I can now run a full 5k without stopping. The longest I've ran was 5 miles straight. I would like to eventually run a half marathon, then a marathon.
I've started my life over in 2014 and working out (when I say working out I mean more than running) is part of it. :) I love working out and workout 5-7 days a week, everything from cardio, strength training, yoga, and running.

I love working out because of how it makes me feel. I feel alive. I feel capable. I feel strong. It's such a great stress reliever. Working out has helped me both physically and mentally. I have achieved so much that I didn't think was possible. It amazes me what our bodies are capable of and how we change them.
