I have always been a decently athletic individual. Starting out in dance classes at the age of 3 all the way into the High School Dance Team making JV in 8th grade, and Varsity all throughout High School. After high school there was a few pounds gained, a few pounds lost, a lot more gained, and not enough lost. Around 2009 I looked at myself in photos after my family went to Mexico and thought - holy sh**. That can't be real!!? No one ever tells you that your fat to your face, and I looked at myself every day not really thinking much of it. So then it began, I started researching what I could on how to lose weight. Started off slowly making changes to my diet, cut out all unnecessary sugars and foods that I thought were healthy for me. and I got my butt on that treadmill and I ran like the wind. After seeing results and enjoyed the results of weight loss, I kept going only to maybe take it a little to far and end up being what I call a stick figure. I had no muscle tone what so ever, nor did I know what to do to change that. In April 2012 I hired a personal trainer and began learning how to compile lifts together, what certain lifts did for the body in general, dominant muscle groups, etc. Wow, I was addicted immediately.
The feeling, the achievement, the drive to get better at something that has become such a deep passion, and to sculpt my body is truly amazing. I never in a million years would have thought I would have muscle definition or strength to lift the kind of weight I do. and I have the belief and determination that it is only going to get better.
