I used to workout when i was a young teenager and admired Arnold Swartzneggar. I have constantly worked out while i was in the army, but after getting out i had stopped. From transferring from a base in Oregon this past March and coming down to eastern California, the altitude is a lot higher and one of our requirements is doing 19 pushups and a 1.5 mile run in 17.30 minutes. Pushups was easy, but couldn't make the run. I was so out of breath and not use to the altitude here, plus i had weighed 179 pounds. A Sergeant on night shift, younger than me got me started as he works out a lot. I started on the treadmill for 90 days just so i can make the run and lost a lot of weight from it. I was able to make the run in 15 minutes flat. After that i just started working out with weights and trying to get back in shape.
Since i started in my workouts last year, never really had a goal in life in weight training. Just wanted to lose the weight and gain extra muscle. Had no workout plan, just hit the weights. But now as the months have passed, I have not only picked out the goal i want, but also have gone through workout plans. To which i completed one 12 week program and starting on a new one. I feel healthier, lost inches around my waist and gained size in the rest of my body. I plan on keeping at it, even if i have reached my goals. I am keep at it. I train hard each day that i get a chance to go to the gym and may feel sore and to the point i almost can't move the body part that i have worked out on, but i am seeing results from it. Some of my family and a lot of my friends on facebook has seen my results and praised and complimented me in my workouts. When i go to the gym and see the locals that are there, they to compliment me and surprised about how old i am and tell me to keep it going. So i can say i am happy about that and also have helped some out with there workouts. So this is why i love to workout, but also to be healthy and fit.
