I have always been active, I danced for 10 years then did one year of cheering on my high schools varsity squad. When I began cheer leading, there was alot of training and we had gym memberships to build strength and condition. That opened the doors to my passion for a fit lifestyle. I was exposed to my first IFBB Bodybuilding show at the 2010 Tampa Pro where I fell in love in the bikini division and knew I had to give it a shot. I did my best in 2011 and 2012 competing as a National Level NPC Bikini Competitor. My last year competing, I had completed 5 competitions and my body was screaming for a break. Only 2 weeks after my last competition I was still following my plan and my body wasn't responding like normal. I had a rude awakening gaining the most weight I had ever been. Since then it has been my focus to remain fit, happy, and most importantly take care of my health and avoid any extremes to do so. I still have my regular lifting schedule like my past but I have learned through getting my body back to normal is taking it slow, paying attention to macronutrients, and not over training.
Why I Love it
I love seeing results, and believing in myself. After a hard work out I feel accomplished, and well disciplined. If someone told me in high school I would compete in bodybuilding I wouldn't take them serious. Not only to compete but be active in the fitness world has created many friendships and taught me great life values. Its amazing what diet and excersize can do for one's self! Not only do I work out to maintain my body but a way to inspire others. I love the support I get from people around me, and the support I can give back. I love that I can learn from my experiences and can help others to obtain their personal fit goals.
