In March 2010, my husband and I booked a vacation to Costa Rica for July. Right then and there, I new I wanted to be in tip top shape, with a goal of strolling the beach in thong bikinis (hehe..seriously though). I began researching online for a workout/nutrtition regiment.After discovering bodybuilding.com,I became hooked. I never even heard of figure competing prior to visiting this site. Seeing women with children and excessive body fat, transforming their body's into in-shape, beautifully toned specimens motivated me. If they could do it, I can too!
It has been an exciting journey. I started March 15 at 24% bodyfat, 151 lb (the biggest i ever been!!). Prior, I would go to the gym 3xs a week, doing the regular cardio routine, and eating horribly. After discovering this site, I was hooked!! Ive learned sooo much--I didnt realize how many things I was doing wrong, and how many cardinal sins I was breaking in the gym!lol. This has become a lifestyle for me, and not just a hobby.

Chapter 2 (February 10, 2019)
Oh Shit! I just logged back in this account after 9 years writing the above! It seems bodybuilding.com featured me in its December 2018 articles again and seeing that put some motivation in these old muscles. 2 kids and some breakups later, I'm focused more then ever on my health and well being and baby girls. After baby number 2 in June 2017 my weight stayed stagnate at 170lb till about March 2018 when I looked in the mirror and said "oh no baby, what is you doin!??. Stress, home workouts and a tad bit of the gym has brought me back down to about 135lb. Working out is becoming more therapy again, so what better way to kick off this reunion then updating my bodyspace--the place where it all began.
