I started lifting weights when playing High School football. Like every guy in the workout room, we didn't know what we were doing, we were just listening to our "trainers" and did whatever lifts they told us to do. I became dedicated to this lifestyle around the age of 19-20 I would say, still not knowing more than the other guys I started to read more and more magazines and forums and my knowledge was starting to grow in this sport. The past 2 years is when I really became 100% dedicated to this. When I was in college i was drinking every night and eating whatever I wanted. Now, there is no more drinking and my diet is on 100% everyday. Macros in check and I have 2 planned re-feed days only after leg day. Ive been working with Jason Wittrock for about 4 months now and during that time I have learned so much about this sport. I look forward to learning more everyday about this lifestyle and I hope I can help others learn along the way.
I love this lifestyle because its a challenge. Its challenge in the sense that there are so many temptations to go out with the friends and drink, party, eat whatever food I want, and so on. I choose to live a very strict and dedicated lifestyle because I put so much time and handwork in this, why I would I want to do something that will diminish my results that I work so hard for? It doesn't make any sense to me when I see my friends who work hard as hell i the gym but go out and get messed up all night and their gains are minimal by the lifestyle they live.
I also love working out because, like so many people have said before me, its a way to leave work and other issues that we deal with on a daily basis at the front door of them gym. Once I'm in the gym its all about the mind-muscle connection and hitting the weights as hard as I can. There are some days that it is hard to leave all of my problems at the front door, but those are the days where the challenge is greater and i accept that challenge! i love this life and i will continue to grow and achieve my goals at all costs!
