In my early teens my parents got us a family membership at a local club which started my passion for fitness. Over my teen and early 20's I keep up on weight training. During those years I had cut down to 6.9% BF and weighed 201. I excelled at football and played from Jr. High to Semi-pro football.
Then life, wife, and the kids came and I had to cut back on my fitness training. I never gave up but I knew I slowed down considerably and over the next 20 years my health deteriorated and started to become a life threatening issue. My total Cholesterol in 2012 was 360 and the bad cholesterol's was so cloudy that my doctor couldn't accurately count the good. Through diet, medicine, and some exercise my tests showed improvement. Last test was 185 total with 52 good cholesterol's. At that time then I stopped taking the medicine under doctor's advisement and lowered/maintained my cholesterol through diet and exercise.
Several month's ago I made more time to increase my fitness levels using my Fitbit, daily ventures to the gym for cardio/weightlifting, and I have been able to improving my health and physique . For the past few month's I've lost 27 more lbs. and even started Krav Maga Core training last week to add to my current cardio training.
