I've always been an active person whether I played sports or worked out in the gym. My focus is really learning how to eat clean so i can reach my goals. A couple years ago around this time, I was in the best shape of my life I had just gone through a major transformation and had lost about 35 pounds. Shortly after i had made it to my dream body...then-* i found out i was pregnant! It was an amazing joy to know i was going to add to my family but boy did it come as a shock lol. I went from my leanest to making every excuse in the book why i could eat as much as i wanted while pregnant. "I'm eating for two now" was a common phrase I chose to use to justify my out-of-control eating. After losing 35, finding out i was expecting, and gaining gaining 50ib of "baby weight" I couldn't be more ready to shed this extra fat and see a better version of my own self again! My daughter is now 15 months and so there are really no excuses now just action! My hope is that through my journey I can inspire other moms who get lost in the daily hustle of life to slow down and realize we are all worthy of looking and feeling our best! If we give ourselves an hour a day of exercise, a few hours a week to meal prep, we can achieve perfect health. After all, our families deserve a healthy role model. I believe we can help each other to recognize we are not alone in our struggles. Lets not lose ourselves but instead gain our confidence back and create the change we want to see and be! That is why today, 12/13/14, I am joining the 12 week challenge and hoping this is the last time I yo yo in my life! A healthy happy me means my whole family wins!
I love feeling stronger after a good workout, pushing myself further than I expected and really inspiring others. I am hoping to become physically and mentally strong so the work i put in can show on the outside as well as the inside! I struggle with the yo yo dieting, excuses,fad dieting, short cuts, and no longer want to fail but want to succeed. I have come to realize that there are no short cuts and working out is the only way to get to where I need to be. Today and every day i am now choosing to slow down so i can achieve a forever goal and finally get off the merry go round lifestyle.
