I decided that I needed a lifestyle change. I wasn't satisfied with my physique or eating habits, I was worn down and tired all of the time. I wasn't eating healthy and the most activity I was getting was working on my feet all day and choosing to take the stairs instead of the elevator. I knew I needed a change! I joined my local gym and decided that I was going to make some major changes. It's easy to join a gym, but it takes a lot of determination and drive to stick to it. I met with a personal trainer to figure out where I needed to start, and I got a bunch of great tips and work-out routines. It has been six months since I started working out. I have completely changed my eating habits and have been eating a balanced healthy diet. I work out 6 days a week, not because I have to, but because I truly enjoy it and I'm starting to feel amazing!
I absolutely love working out because for the first time in a very long time I feel healthy, strong and full of energy. Working out not only benefits me physically, it also works wonders for me mentally. I set short and long-term goals and work very hard to meet them. It feels wonderful see physical changes, but they are not instantaneous. I like that I have to push myself. I have learned that I am also getting stronger mentally. I am not where I want to be yet, but I strive to reach my goals everyday and I refuse to give up. Even when I meet my goals I will continue to set new ones. To all of the people that said I couldn't, I want to thank you. You are my motivation, and I strive to prove you wrong.
