I was always an active type and started training soccer from the age of 5 for about 11-12 years. I was always the small and skinny guy amongst my fellow teammates and wanted to get bigger. I fell in love with weights from the first time I started lifting them. I've been working out since I was about 16-17 years old. Uneducated, I went to the gym, lifted embaressingly light and wondered why I wasn't growing. It wasn't until later years I read and started to educate myself on sites like Bodybuilding.com about nutrition exersize and suppliments.
I guess another subconscious reason I started to workout was that I was really into comic books, in particular Spider-Man and thought: "If I can't have his powers, I guess I can have his physique". It's a stupid reason but superheroes motivated me, and kind of still does. So for about 90 minutes, I feel like I have superpowers.
I just feel invincible when I'm standing there with dumbbells in my hands. It's a great feeling when the adrenaline rushes through your veins and you almost feel your muscles tearing through your skin.
I don't have to drink, do drugs or throw myself of a building to feel some kind of rush. I have my iron, and that is all I need.
