September 9th 2015:
So I'm back after a LONG break. I am now on a fitness journey like no other. My goal is to compete in a figure competition in July 2016. I have a long road ahead of me. I will attend my first competition in October to see what the requirements and what I need to do to get on track. I will have delivered my first child by then and I don't want to waste any time getting back healthy. I am looking forward to connecting with the body building world again and staying focused and motivated.
I wish you all the best in all that you.
Today is the first day I start my journey in body building. My fiance is a fitness specialist and exercising is all he talks about. It is fun, exciting and I love the fact that is something we do together to keep us young.
I joined the army four years ago and was pushed during my basic training. Of course over the years I feel into a static routine and wasn't really pushing myself anymore. Well fast forward and Carlos and I are engaged. Well I have been on a roller coaster of losing weight and staying fit. I enlisted in the army in 2008 and was at 202lbs. Had to lose twenty pounds to go to basic. I lost the weight and more. After basic training, I left there weighing 154 lbs feeling great.
Well I didn't continue my regime and got back up to 198 lbs over a course of a year. It was hard to look at myself in the mirror. So when Carlos and I met he was my personal trainer and said he would help me. He did and we fell in love in the process. Over the last two years I have been going back and forth between 174-184.
I don't want to go back up to 200 lbs. I started looking online and in magazines for ways to push me harder than what I am doing now. Fitness competitions attracted me because of the strict training but it also is very rewarding. So I decided to set a goal for myself to be ready for a fitness competition this fall in October. I don't have to win the competition but I will go in there knowing I did my best.
Working out makes me feel good and I can't wait to step up the program. I am needing help and will search for a fitness competition trainer in my area. If anyone knows anyone in the Houston, Texas area that trains for Fitness/Body Building competitions please let me know. I am interested in the Competition for Leaner Body Types.
