I've been drawn to working out on some level since I was a little girl. I started running in the early morning before middle school, ran high school cross country and track, played recreational softball, and got into lifting weights in high school. It's so much a part of who I am, I can't begin to imagine NOT doing it. It keeps me sane, happy, and balanced. Now into my 30s I have a few full marathons under my belt, several half marathons, an endurance race with my husband, and continually strive for and achieve weightlifting goals.
I jokingly say that working out keeps me sane, but there's a lot of truth to that! Whether it's running, biking, or lifting weights, I feel centered and free when I'm pushing my body and my mind to its limits. I do best on a strict diet and workout program and feel like I have to constantly test and push myself. Before one program is up I already have another lined up :) I'm currently training for my 4th full marathon, but just a couple weeks after its completion in October I'm switching gears to lift heavy with my husband and put on some lean muscle mass. Constantly changing things up keeps me happy! :)
