I had suffered some injuries from a falling down the stairs accident years ago that left me with shoulder and lower back pain. After several months of physical therapy I was discharged and left to continue on my own. Needless to say, I got hooked and have not stopped since.I started on my own on March 2012
I love working out! It has helped me with my injuries, and to deal with a stressful life. I come to the gym and forget about my problems for a couple of hours. I lift and love the feeling, I cannot put into words. I'm excited about new things to try out and love to exchange ideas with my gym buddies. For cardio I run and do zumba (as a latina, I LOVE to dance). I'm currently training for a half marathon next year (I'm a running princess for Disney). It's tough since I just started running three months ago. I ran my first 5k a month ago, and plan on doing more this year and a 10k before the half marathon. But lifting is still my favorite form of work out. I do fitness training six times a week and I am in better shape now than I have ever been. Now, that's a huge plus!
A couple of years later, I'm a certified Personal Trainer at my gym , and love helping people achieve their fitness goals :)
