I gained 10 kilos after giving up smoking 2 1/2 years ago and found my metabolism slowing after 4 children and growing wiser not older lol, I was miserable and my self esteem suffered tremendously I wanted my trim body back and made a decision to make a change and loss weight, I started by walking a few kilometres daily which turned into a passion for running but due to bad knees I had to nurse them all the way, I pushed my goal to run 10klm and succeeded I also lost 8 kilos of the 10 needed by October 2012 and set a new goal for 2013 to run in my first fun run so in Feb I concurred that goal all the while maintaining my weight, but I had plateaued and was not happy with my physique even though the scales where reading one thing my body fat % was another so I upped the anti and bite the bullet and started weight training 8 weeks ago and am loving what I am starting to see, my weight has increased by a few kilos so I have to try and get my head around that but all in all I am stoked and can't wait to see where I will be in 12months time.
