The first week of January, 2013, I tried to tie my boots with my winter gear on. I had trouble reaching the laces comfortably, and was out of breath by time I got the job done. The next day my 3 year old daughter taunted to me to chase her around the house and wrestle, but the fun didn't last long. Again I found myself out of breath plus dizzy and tired. I realized than that I had to change. It wasn't my new years resolution to lose weight and get healthy again, but I do have a motto for this year, "No Excuses". There's no excuse for me to be obese and so unhealthy at 31, but the last few years I've found excuses to make me this way. So to follow my motto this year, I want to have no, not even one, excuse that'll produce a skipped workout or slip up on my diet.
Working out not only gives me more energy and a happier demeanor, it also gives me hope. Hope that I can change my own life, and then the life of my family so that we can all have a happier, healthier, and more active life together.
