My whole life I've been a scrawny person (skinny-fat) and as much as people tell me my physique is fine, I am too skinny for my height. Besides from trying to workout to look better, another huge motivation is a sense of security. I want to become stronger so that I have a better chance of standing up for myself and those I care about. Protecting people is a huge reason for trying to get stronger. I want to be able to hold my own when the time calls for it instead of backing down because of my inability to defend. I've also (recently) become convinced that there are ENDLESS health benefits to working out, such as disease prevention, increase intelligence, energy, overall well-being, delaying diseases/aging. Besides from my personal goals, I will also try to make it a point to convince friends and family to start exercising because the benefits are priceless.
