i stated weight training with a kmart weight set when i was 13.at 15 i went on a diet to slim down and of course i did everything wrong except work out.i would not eat for a couple days at a time thinking this was the way to do it.of course i know now i was way off you have to eat to lose weight.did cardio for yrs and ran races but it did nothing to change my body and make it better changed my body until i went back to weight training after i turned 30.at that point it was a process and i put on muscle and got stronger.my weight eventually shot up to 240 lbs the result of not watching what i was eating.i was strong but not in shape.so a the beginning of 2007 i started eating right again and mixed up weights with cardio and the weight started to fall again.i came to the conclusion that being bulked up isnt the way to go so i wanted to get lean and strong at the same time.i watchedmma fighters and decided that was the shape i wanted to be in.thats when i discovered kettlebells.truth be told kbs kicked my butt and put me into the kind of shape that i had been pursuing all my life.yrs of weights and cardio couldnt hold a candle to what kettlebells have done to my physique.weights are good, but kettlebells are far more effective and cardio is a waste of time on its own and wont work without resistance training.that where the kettlebell comes in because it is a strength/cardio workout in one.add to a clean diet and you cant go wrong.
