My mother was always working out and a huge inspiration for my whole family. I use to train on and off with her when I was younger, but still struggled with my weight and the constant feeling of being tired and feeling awful about myself. I hate doing a lot of cardio, and thought how a lot of people do, that it was the only way to a killer body for a female. However, it wasn't til after my daughter was born that I saw what happens when I neglect myself. I was sad when I was told there is no way a 5'2 woman who gained 100lbs during pregnancy in less than 9mo could ever see definition or her abs again. It was from that point on that I set out to show everyone around me that I could change and not only be pre-pregnancy, but better! A few months after I started lifting I was hooked. It was then that I decided to make it a part of my lifestyle and also to strive to help others find fun ways to make it a part of theirs. With determination, perseverance, and consistency; anything is possible.
I love how I feel after I work out and the great sense of accomplishment. I like to catch a glimpse in the mirror and see my hard work paying off. I love the feeling of knowing I am doing something that will better my chances for a healthier life. Not only for myself, but so that I can be around to see my daughter grow up and hopefully inspire her a bit, too.
