Why do I always choose occupations that require a certain level of fitness? I can't believe how much has changed in fifteen years, including how my physical condition affected my skills as a potter. I thought wedging and throwing 25+ pounds of clay, loading and unloading kilns, and moving my work would count as some sort of workout. When I was in school getting my work done was priority--never mind the heavy toll on my body.

I need to play catch up in a big way in my career and physical health. I also took too much time recovering from a broken ankle this past fall.

I like the way my muscles feel during reps, having more energy and feeling stronger.
