I got started bodybuilding for two reasons. Initially, I started lifting because the Marine Corps is transitioning to females doing pullups. Being the biggest **** talker you'll ever meet (lol), I wanted to be one of the first females to do the pullups over the flex-arm hang on the physical fitness test, and I wanted to show up some of the guys, so that's what sparked my interest. Soon after, I really hit a rough patch in my life and felt like I had completely lost control. Being in the gym was the only place where I could forget about those problems. It was the only place where I could reflect upon the person I really am and push past my physical and mental limitations. So as the saying goes, the gym is my therapy. Once I had pullups down, I had to set new goals for myself, which is why I decided to start competing. I did two bikini competitions and wasn't comfortable with the posing, plus I wanted a little more mass, so I decided to switch to figure and that's where I'm at now.
