When I turned 26, I made a life decision to become healthy and active. I was over weight as a child/teen. I joined the swim team in high school and lost weight and became more fit, however I slipped back into old ways and put back on the weight. When I was 19 I was at the heaviest weight in the 180's. I lost all the weight when I was 21, and was down to an unhealthy 117lbs. I was not very healthy about my weight loss, and I would fluctuate from my 120lbs to 170's. Clearly, I needed to figure something out. I started by portion control, added more fruit and veggies, and started working out. I dropped down to 130 within a year of my change, I've been consistent in the low 130's even after 2 pregnancies. 6 months after my daughter was born I shed all the weight and met with a trainer to work on strength training. Since then I have been in love with lifting! I'm still a work in progress, but aren't we all?
