The most important thing you need to know about me is that I am a mother. There are a few things in life that can bring you complete joy and a sense of accomplishment, and motherhood brought that to me. In addition to being a mom to an awesome 4 year old, lifting weights and eating a ton of food are a few of my favorite things. After having my son I trained for a marathon and ran my first race EVER at the 2011 Athens Greece full marathon. It was quite the accomplishment. I went on to run many other races which left my body skinny and muscleless. I wanted more. I wanted definition to my legs and that 6 pack I had dreamt of since I was 11. So I found James Wilson and his 12 week online program and went at it full force. I have been lifting weights for over 2 years now and keep cardio to a minimum.
Weightlifting is my therapy. Who needs a damn couch and a shrink, when you have some iron to throw around. Regardless of how I feel going into my workout, I come out feeling better. After every workout I feel successful. Not because I PRd that day, or learned a new workout, but because I know I am making gains and improving my health every time. I wouldn't give it up for the world.
