I've always tried to stay semi-active. I was a professional/competitive dancer in AZ, so I always tried to keep in shape cardio-wise, just never weight training. When I moved back to NY, I started lifting more, but with no real goal or purpose or clue as to what I was doing.
Sad to say, I had a really messy breakup February 2011, and dropped 20 pounds. My savior of a roommate kicked my ass into gear, put 20 pounds back onto my body (yes, fat and muscle,) and got me into caring about how I felt/looked.
As time when on, I decided that I wanted to compete in a mens physique competition, so I joined this for motivation and inspiration. I don't have a great support net here, just my mom and I (my friends all laugh at me.)
13 weeks, and I hope to do it.
I can be pushed to my physical and mental limits, but in a good and healthy way. Noone can touch me when I'm in the zone. I love the gym, because everyone there is there for relatively the same reasons. Get stronger, be healthier, and look/feel beter about themselves.
