Background: Have been casually working out since university and was always in modest shape. I've never actually tried to follow a workout program and never had to follow a diet. With that, I've also never 'transformed' my body beyond it's casual progress. I've always been naturally lean and it wasn't until I turned 30 did my body start to pack on overall body fat over the last 2 years.
Reason for Joining #MyFitSquad: (1) To get back into shape - to not only be fit but also healthy, so that as I age, I won't feel like my joints are frail and body overweight. (2) To follow a workout program (Arnold's Blueprint to Mass) that'll push myself beyond my comfort zone and force me to (3) develop a 'diet plan' to ensure that I lose body fat and also gain muscle mass. (4) With my little brother having recently moved in with me, I think it would be a great opportunity to workout with him as well as we both push each other to make a life changing difference in 8 weeks.
Goals: To lower my body fat %, gain lean muscle mass, strengthen my joints, develop better lifestyle habits so that I consume 1800-2500 calories each day throughout the 8 weeks, and also learn to closely follow a goal oriented workout program.
