My destination with weight loss was starting and restarting Weight Watchers over a period of 5 years, to final success of becoming a lifetime memberAugust 24, 2006. My goal weight was 135lbs and I weighed in at 132lbs. Having been at my heaviest after my son was born in 1997 at 220lbs I truly got there by finally being accountable by what went in my mouth, no formal exercise. Started running seriously, completing 2; 1/2 Marathons, getting down to 119lbs. All I saw was a fat smaller me of skin, bones and bumps. Mostly I have maintained that since 2006, however I have now put 10-15 lbs back on.
Found Snap Fitness last November and started working out with a couple of personal trainers. Each showed me weight training that I feel in love with. HITT got me addicted to feeling the thrill of lifting weight, and personalized attention pushed me harder than I have ever gone. However, my struggle has remained "wrapping" my head around the nutrition and necessary eating to truly see my gains.
This year is my year of facing fears and working on mental toughness. Ahead of me lies the Dymatize Bodytransformation Challenge 2015 to connect the dots between weight training and nutrition as well as doing the Tough Mudder in Whistler, BC in June 2015. No longer just a destination.....this is "My Journey".
