Upon coming back from Iraq in 2008 I found myself being really stressed out all the time and at the time I decided to pick up on long distance running, but after about 6 months of running long distance and only getting up to a 16 3/4 mile run non-stop I realized that running marathons probably just wasn't in the books for me. So, in March of 2009 I decided to start lifting and haven't missed more than a week straight since. It wasn't until this year that I decided I wanted to be a powerlifter and I completed my first powerlifting regimen around June and competed in a little local meet which I won. Now, I'm 14 days out from my first big meet and I'm probably going to get my a** kicked, but the only person I'm worrying about beating is myself. Setting new PRs and looking toward the future, because I'm obsessed and love nothing more than lifting weights off the ground and seeing where my natural limits can take me in this life! ~This was written back in 2011
I have been AWOL from BB.com for over 2 years now. Now, I have my degree in Kinesiology. I graduated from Concordia University with honors and I'm setting off on a new path to become the best strength-coach/personal trainer that I can be. I am very much inspired by so many people on this site it is ridiculously awesome to see so many people wanting to take control of their life and make a positive change.
