I never really knew I wanted to develop a hobby in fitness/weightlifting. It all started when my friend told he started working out for a couple months and showed me what he did. He told me his gains and quickly I realized I should try it too. Especially since I was a High school athlete at the time. Eventually me and my friend decided we were going to join a local gym for cheap and go everyday after school or after we do our sports. We joined a local planet fitness for about a year that was about a 30 minute walk from my school. We would even walk there in the rain. Eventually we both discovered about bodybuilding.com and read tons of articles, learned about workouts and supplements, and even started looking up people and developing role-models to us in the bodybuilding world like Jay Cutler, Kai Greene, and Phill Heath. Nobody else knew who we were talking about at school except for us. we wanted to work out like them and all the other big guys we eventually discovered like Lee Priest, Flex Lewis and many more. We would print out their workout programs and follow them exactly how they wrote it. Once we started seeing gains we were even more hooked. We would motivate each other to push hard and get ready for our sport seasons next year. A year since I started I noticed a HUGE difference from how i looked then and before i started working out. Also I really started to love the fact that doing this makes me different from alot of other people and I take alot of pride being part of this new community that I was in that went to the gym every day and worked hard. Me and my friend hoped that eventually we could manage to scrape up enough money to leave planet fitness and go to a local gym were alot of bodybuilders would go to called Premier fitness. We both got jobs and it came through. 6 months later, here I am writing this article like I always wanted too after i read all the previous transformations when I started a year ago. That also fueled my motivation, and I'm pretty sure this is gonna be my life style for a long time.
