I started doing martial arts as a child and have done so throughout most of my life. I started lifting weights when I was about 19 years old because while I was in good shape I was rather on the skinny side. I remained seriously into weight lifting until I was about 28 years old, at which time I went from being a hardcore fitness enthusiast to a lump on a log. Over the next few years I went from a very in shape 190 lbs to a very out of shape 275 lbs.
Shortly after turning 33 I decided that I was tired of looking and feeling bad and I wanted to get back to the person that I use to be. So I jumped in head first and started going to the gym 6 days a week. The first 20 lbs dropped off fairly quick but then I lingered at around 255 for a while, at this point I really started watching my diet and over the course of the next two years I dropped down to 200 lbs.
