I have always been a small kid. Graduating middle school at 5'2" and 90 pounds. I entered high school not much different and joined the wrestling team hoping to bulk up. By my second year i went from an underweight 103 class to a slightly larger 122, wrestling 119. I had confidence I could get stronger and win more matches.
I suffered a serious broken arm January 2011 and lost all my progress... (i have it on YouTube)
I participated in a summer workout called First Step after 5 months of recovery, I was unable to do most of the workouts because my bone has not yet healed and i lost almost all of the muscle in my left arm. My Junior year in high school I remained light and decided to play soccer. None of my teammates lifted weights so I just ran more.
Over my 2012 summer I did First Step again with a new vigor, actually working out and seeing progress. i tracked my weight from beginning to end: starting from 125 to 132. Not bad eh? I promised myself I would continue to go to the gym my senior year and further my attempts to reach a heavier weight and larger body size.Luckily I befriended like minded people who motivated me to work out. I went to the gym off and on due to my part-time job, service hours, sickness, school, and sometimes pure laziness.
I got my weight above 140 for the first time in April 2013, and I strive to gain more weight. I made many gains:
Bench 90lbs to 155lbs.
Curls 20lbs to 30lbs
Squat 135lbs to 225lbs
Deadlight 135lbs to 245lbs
Now that I am graduating high school soon (June 2013) I want to fit the gym into my schedule more. I have been reading posts from this website for about 6 months and I hope to become an active member, get to know people, and learn new tricks and tools of the trade,
Joseph
