As a little boy I was more interested in reading encyclopedias than I was playing football. I suppose I am considered a late bloomer. You see photos of me through school and can see that I never really lost my baby fat. After high school everything melted off of me. I became more interested in nutrition and fitness and all that goes along with it. I was amazed at how my body transformed and started to develop so quickly.
Working out for me has always been a stress reliever. I always taught my clients (psychotherapist) that kinetic movement always burns off anxiety and stress that we have that day. If you build exercise into your day it automatically does the work for you when you have anxious thoughts as your metabolism uses that stress to fuel your muscle recovery.
