I was never athletic. I hated anything to do with being out of breath. And fear of getting hit in the face with something heavy (like a ball, for example). maybe it was partly due to me being quite sick for most of my childhood, which made me unable to attend gym classes at school, or being a part of the extracurricular activities of any sort. So naturally, I became super lazy and not what is defined by "fit".
The beginning of my jpurney would jhave never been possible without my dad. he is big into bodybuilfding, but he does not compete or anything like that. It's a lifestyle for him. It was only because of his pressure and slightly due to my curiousity that I decided to try weightlifting with him. That happened in Fall 2011.
I loved it! It became my life. And eventhough I can't say that I'm where I want to be skill-wise, physique-wise, etc., I see my progress.
As a side note, I am also big into Muay Thai Kickboxing, but only started in April 2014 :)
It's hard to explain why you love to do a certain activity. Ity's mostly because opf the way it makes us feel that we like something/someone. So I guess the answer is: I love bodybuilding because it makes me accomplished. Yes, of course I have my own frustrations, and sometimes it's so hard that I almost give up, not wanting to ever come back; but at the end of the day weighlifting and improving myself makes me happy. Boosts my ego slightly, and gives me hope to look/feel/live better in the future.
