Being in my early 60's fat suddenly began to be an issue. Also going through some health issues related to stress, it felt important to what I could to restore well being, balance, confidence and true enjoyment to life. I really want to be an inspiration and to truly have fun - not be a drag - on my family, the people in my world and even to myself. In order experience the kind of life I want, I need to be fit, well, active and on deck in my later years. I want this enough to invest major time, heart and energy into it. The rewards are potentially huge and worth much more than the sweat, effort and life-style change required to succeed in my fitness goals.
I makes me feel like I'm living life on my own terms and not by the dictates of the ageing process. It makes me fell like I'm being all that I can and that feels good. The endorphines, the additional energy and a sense of personal optimism are pretty cool too.
