I started lifting weights and teaching Aerobics back in 1987. I loved the look of Rachel mcLish and Gladys P. and Cory everson. So I started bodybuilding and personal training at Bally Pac West, Tacoma Athletic Gym and then competing in all the local competitions in Wa state from 1987-1992. I worked as a hairstylist as well then decided to started having a family. I homeschool my two kids and still continued to workout.
I got divorce after 22 yrs, and decided to go back to school for nursing. As I continued to workout at the local YMCA I started talking with a friend who was divorced and whom I talked with on and off over the years. We both are gym rats and have lifted weights for over 20 yrs. We got married 5 yrs ago and I now have my BSN in nursing and work at an Army Hospital. I also started menapause and have some injuries that has hinder my workouts. Im having hip surgery May 20 and want to lose some weight and enter the 12 week challenge to motivate me.
I really like being in control and feeling good outside as well as inside. I get a high lifting weights and being in control of how I look. My son is turning 20 this May and has been lifting and bulking up and added over 30 lbs and belongs to BB forum. It is something we both share and enjoy doing together. We both are going to start a 12 week challenge together. Maybe compete in a couples category locally.
