I had managed to stop myself from becoming obese throughout college by working out sparingly and working retail jobs that had my on my feet 8+ hours a day. However, once I graduated and started an office job the weight started going up. The last straw came when I had just gone over the 250 pound mark, and I couldn't fit into my size 38 pants anymore. After buying my first pair of size 40 khaki's I told myself "enough is enough" and changed my entire outlook on fitness and nuturition. I read a bunch of articles, bought good supplements, started working out 4-5 days a week, and changed what and how I ate and drank. 1 year and a half later, I had just turned 27 and was in the best shape of my life at 190 pounds!
First of all I geniunely enjoy lifting weights! The gym has become my favorite place in the world because when I'm there I can shut off all my stress from work, family, and friends. When I'm setting up for a big lift my world focuses down to that single moment. It's helped my mood, it's helped my relationships, and even helped me getting a big promotion in early 2014.
