I'm ex Army Medic and used to run, tab, run and tab. I trained very hard for specialist courses but my diet was erratic. So I've always loved fitness-Iused to work hard, play hard.( I could cane a bottle of vodka in 48 hrs or less whilst partying-well you live for the moment, hey?)
Now I hardly drink alcohol, drink green/nettle/liquorice tea. I also drink hot water with lemon and coconut oil or hot water with coconut oil!
I'm obsessed with foods, low carb, med protein and high fat. I'm just weaning myself into this way of eating but really clean eating with no complex carbs and coconut oil as my main source of fat intake. I'm researching the keto lifestyle as I believe sugars are the route of all evil not only physiologically but my main worry is about Type 3 Diabetes.
I absolutely love weight training but having an acute hip injury 2 years ago I am cautiously starting a new trg regime whilst also incorporating physio exercises...
