I was in great shape throughout high school with year round training for sports. I lifted when I went to college for track back in 08-09. I stayed in quite decent shape up until probably winter of 2012 or so. That's when I started slipping. My boyfriend has always taken good care of his body and he re-introduced me to the gym maybe mid-late April of 2013. I was feeling very disappointed with myself and insecure, so I knew I wanted to make a positive change and do something about it. We now go to the gym 6 days per week and can't get enough of improving our health and fitness.
I love feeling strong. It's almost as simple as that. ;)
Working out has given me a new purpose and a new sense of accomplishment in my life. I was honestly feeling lost, unmotivated and unhappy with myself/body. Working out is something I now look forward to everyday. I strive to be the best I can be, I strive to push my body as far as it will go. Fitness is something I love and can't imagine a lifestyle without now. Since I've started lifting, doing cardio and eating right-- I have much better confidence and I FEEL better throughout each day. It's beyond gratifying what working out has given me, how it has changed my life and the improvement it's had on my self-worth, self-respect and my pride.
