Bad relationships do a number on your body. In December 2010, I ended a toxic relationship, and started taking care of me. I was about 195lbs at my heaviest, and dropped 40lbs quick through being happy, portion control, and some gym time. March 2012, I had to put my workouts on hold due to a complicated pregnancy with twins. But, come January 2013, I was back in the gym as often as I could get a sitter. May 2013, consistency became key when I was finally able to drop my boys off at the gym day-care to get in the gym 5-7 days a week. I want to be the healthiest, fittest version of me. And, maybe compete one day.
I love the strength I am developing. I love the "me" time I get while I am in the gym. I love how a good sweat makes me feel. I love seeing my muscles develop. And, I love the example I am going to be for my boys as someone that takes pride in my body, and being healthy.
