I've always been into working out. Whether it was biking, running or taking classes at the gym. However, for the last three years I have been back and forth with health issues that made it difficult to workout.
I had a questionable biopsy in September of last year and had to have an unexpected hysterectomy. For anyone who knows about this procedure, it can reek havoc on your body and hormones. Within a month I gained 20lbs. This was so depressing since I had just completed the Body Challenge in 2015 and also did my first Bikini Competition in June of 2016.
After my recovery which was almost 6 weeks, i went to the gym and someone had made a comment on how I must have been over eating after my competition to gain the weight. Little did they know i/ had just gone through a very emotional and physical situation. I actually stopped going to my home gym for that reason.
My life is great and I wouldn't change it for the world, however, my weight gain has been depressing since I worked so hard to get into the best shape of my life last year. Its amazing what physical transformation you can make in just a year.....for better or for worse.
I decided I'm not going to let my hormones get the best of me. I ready to give my body a little push back and take control again!! Challenge accepted!
See you in 8 weeks! Good luck everyone!
