I was chubby all throughout my childhood and into the beginning of high school. Under the pressure of peers and the media's image of an "ideal" woman, I started to take notice in my image. From 2010-2012 I became a cardio monkey and successfully lost around 40 lbs. I started at 187 and dropped to around 145. Then I changed my goals, seeing as my body was going from large and round to small and round.. I started to focus on healthy eating, weight lifting, and all around good health. I further lost 20 lbs and am addicted to this healthy lifestyle. I love it.
Aside from the obvious psychological benefits like a great mood, no guilt, confidence, etc.. that working out brings me, I also love it because I feel strong. It gives me somewhere to put all of my energy. And well, it lets me eat a lot. I love food, so loving working out is just another plus in my book!
