As most women I have struggled with my weight. In high school I made a stupid choice to be bulimic. Thank goodness I was stopped before it did any major harm to my body. Within 2 months of stopping I gained every bit of 60 lbs. I went from weighing 120 to weighing 180 lbs. I have struggled ever since to get back down to the 120's range. I came to Afghanistan as a civilian contractor in Oct 2008 and decided to start trying to eat healthy. I lost 20 lbs in about 8 months by changing my diet mainly by quitting the sodas and fried foods. The only exercise I did was cardio, I didn't understand the building muscle to burn more fat concept. I was stuck at a plateau so I decided to have liposuction on my stomach and inner thighs. After the surgery I got down to about 140 but within the last year I gained 10 more lbs and was back to 150. I wanted to be small so I would tell myself I have to go on a "diet" to loose weight and make my stomach flat for the beach. I would go back and forth. So after multiple attempts with no results I realized it had to be a life style change. I can't keep wishing to look a certain way and make excuses why not to work out. This is when i realized this is really what I want and I have to and will change my lifestyle!! I don't know what took me so long. My BF has been there 100% supporting me and its an amazing feeling. He even started working out to show support :) He is the one who actually told me to make a bodyspace and showed me bodybuilding.com and all it can offer me :) We are now pushing each other to complete a 12-week program, I am doing Jamie Eason's LiveFit 12 week trainer and he is doing Kris Gethin's Hardcore 12 week trainer check out his progress on his bodyspace: sbduce I wish everyone out there on a mission the best of luck.
