I started lifting when I joined the Marine Corps, but circuit training never appealed to me as much as lifting heavy things and putting them down.
Shortly after combat training, I went on deployment to Afghanistan in the fall of 2011.
I fell in love with weightlifting! However, I was in Afghanistan and working 16 hour days at least, no days off. Things got a little too crazy, and I stopped going to the gym. I'm back in the states now, and I realize how wrong I was in ever quitting lifting.
I have been running since the summer of 2012 and now I want my strength, so it's back to the weights!
It is almost 2015 and I still love lifting and getting stronger. I have so much to learn still!
Being good to my body is therapy in itself.
Eating well, training hard, and enjoying life are what we are supposed to do!
Bodies are the most amazing ATV's on the planet!
Lifting= Happiness
