I was tired of being a lard butt, plain and simple. I used to be in shape, but then I became a desk jockey.
I worked out a lot in the Navy and then I came home and kinda sluffed off. I have always had a high metabolism, so I took it for granted that I could eat anything and do nothing and not pay for it.
I became a desk jockey in Jan of 06, and the weight started packing on. I ate and ate and ate and ate and ate and did nothing to watch my diet. I ballooned to 225 (as you can see, a lot for my small frame), and I started feeling down, couldnt chase after my chitlens, and finally said enough was enough.
I started working out in March of 07 and havent looked back since. It has boosted my confidence, on top of making me look better and setting a good example for my little ones.
****update MAR 2011****
I have had my ups and downs on being in shape but I am back at it for the last 9 months.
