Sports were always a big part of my life growing up. I began working out in high school but was never really committed. I hated lifting weights and running. I received an athletic scholarship to run track in college. During my first semester I joined the Montana Army National Guard. I didn't gain a pound during basic. I went in at 6' 2" 150lbs and came out the same. During AIT I experimented with my first supplement stack. It was a Jay Cutler stack from GNC. I gained 35 pounds in 3 1/2 months and was in the best shape of my life. I returned to college, continued track, and graduated in 2012. My goal after college was to gain weight. I got up to 198lbs just short of my 200lb goal. Appendicitis and an appendectomy took a big toll on my body. Running was the only activity that was comfortable so I began training for a half marathon and dropped down to 170lbs. I enrolled in the 2013 Military Challenge to motivate me to get back in the gym and into the best shape of my life.
