My brother is a body builder so he's always on my case to start working out. When I left my home country to study aboad for 7 years (undergrad and graduate school), it was hard being away from my family so I ate....and ate....ann ate some more until I felt happy. I ate so much with very little exercise over the years that I gained about 80lbs! So when I got home, i decided that I needed to take off all of this weight and then some. So I gave myself a year to lose 80lbs. I started in Nov. 2012 and so far, I've lost 30lbs. This is a great start but my year is almost up and I really want to reach my goal. No doubt, its hard to stay motivated when I dont have a workout buddy so there have been some ups and downs. This is the reason I joined bodybuilding.com; to get the extra motivation that I need to turn my body into a fat burning machine!
With working out, I definitely have more energy and it also motivates my family to workout and become more active. I'm the fat one in my family when they saw that I was working out 6 days a week non-stop, they chipped in...no one wants to be the fat one in the family LOL So this brings my family together in a healthy way and thats y I love working out
