It all began when I stepped into the weight room as a young high schooler and forced to be there for our football program. Standing there at about 5 foot 2 and 130 pounds. Those 130 pounds were definitely an ugly 130 pounds. Our coach began to explain to us some of the various lifts and exercises we will be doing and why they are beneficial. It was because of football and having the amazing football program that I had that I was introduced into fitness and the part of a healthy lifestyle weightlifting has to offer.
Why I Love it
I love bodybuilding simply because.. it is all about me. Me and how much effort I want to put into it. I can go workout sometimes and take a few protein shakes to see a few results. That's not what I am after though. The day my last football game of my high school career ended I had no reason to go train and to get better and stronger anymore. I had no intentions of leaving the weight room though. I developed a love and a passion inside any fitness center that was incomparable to any other feeling I have doing anything else. The feeling of listening to whatever style music I am in the mood for that particular day, wearing the comfiest clothes known to man (dri fit), seeing results and knowing you are bettering yourself. I better myself physical and mentally and I can apply the toughness to any given life situation. It gives me a time that involves no one else to go throw some weight around and have no worries in the world besides what lift to I get to dominate next. There truly is no other feeling out there and I plan to workout till the day I become immobile.
