December 2011-June 2012 I spent in and out of the hospital and at specialists, and on a daily regimen of Percocet that left my head in a blur and the pounds packing on. I was unable to do much of anything. Any tiny muscle I had previously disappeared. I had 3 surgeries in 2012 and reached my heaviest in May 2012 at 235pounds and 48% body fat. Yes, 48%! I started eating healthy and doing what little exercise I could.
I spent 2013 battling an auto immune disorder, and continued to diet and do light exercise. I was down to 205 by June 2013 for my sister's wedding. I was put into remission (although some days are still bad) in December 2013 which gave me the inner strength to start pushing myself to get strong on the outside.
I joined the January 2014 transformation challenge at 193 pounds. I plan to do the summer challenge as well, and hope to shred some more body fat!
