I was 22 when I was at my slimmest and lightest at 54 kilos. I was not a gym member but I walked around a lot at university and at the nightclub where I worked. I also ate smaller portions and quite a lot throughout the day.
I was engaged when I was 23. I was 25 when we moved into our home. Weight started piling up and I put ON 14 KILOS in one year! I was nearly 26 when I ended the relationship (have no regrets with that one anyway) and forced myself to weigh myself. Clothes did not fit me and friends were declaring that I was 'big', 'fat', 'cuddly' and other words. The scales said 67.9 kilos and I was very shocked.
I started to eat healthier, go out more and have a better lifestyle but other things got in the way of getting my old body back. In September 2010, I joined the gym. I haven't looked back since.
My old body is back. My old clothes fit me. I am much happier now. Now it is my goal to tone up and get that six pack. It has been my dream for years and I aim to achieve it.... So watch this space!
You all know this :) After 1.5 hours of hitting the weights and then doing cardiovascular exercises, I walk home feeling fitter, healthier and sexier :p I also go home knowing that I am doing the right thing for my body. Keeping it in tip-shop shape.
