In 2002, after my oldest daughter was born, I realized that I needed to get a clue and lose weight. At that time, I weighed over 330 pounds, and knew I was destined for bad things. I did Weight Watchers, and dropped 80 pounds between June, 2003 and October, 2004. I was down to a low of 240. I ran a bit, and was a little more aware of what I ate, but over the years, I bounced between 250 and 290. I would try something for awhile, it would be successful, and I would lose commitment. In 2010, I started a bit more focused boot camp, followed by my first experience with personal training. I loved it, but a back injury sidelned me again. I didn't know if I would ever really feel success. After being referred to Emerge Fitness by my chiropractor in 2012, I found a place where I could mature, grow and do what I needed to do. I was back to 275 when I started, and through the encouragement of my great trainers, something finally clicked! I was running again and I was enjoying the gym. In 2013, I started working with the best trainer I've ever had, and the result was amazing! From June, 2013 to September, 2013 I dropped 30 pounds - I was the lightest I'd been since college and way more fit. I found my mojo with good nutrition and incredible exercise! I'm on a path of no return!!
I was never a fitness person, but now that my mind has "clicked", the feeling I get of finally feeling like I'm headed into a new world and new direction is amazing. I love it because I feel like I can do things I've never done before!!
